Volunteer Help Wanted
We're always looking for a few good women and men (and children, and dogs, and trucks, and pretty much anything else you might like to use for God's Good!

All Souls has ongoing opportunities for volunteers who may have specific skills or interests.  Here are a few:

Wanted: Someone to review our building and liability insurance with the Church Insurance Corporation to make sure that our insurance policies are adequate.

Why this is important: Our insurance coverages were last reviewed about ten years ago.  It is clearly prudent to review those coverages ASAP.  Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience with commercial property and liability insurance, but, in the absence of that sort of experience, we'll be glad for help from anyone who would be willing to take this on.

Estimated time commitment: 10 hours whenever convenient for the volunteer.

Volunteering: Contact one of the Wardens or any Vestry Member if you are willing to help.

Wanted
: Someone to support the All Souls Are Green team in earning an Energy Star Congregation status for All Souls Memorial Episcopal Church.

Why this is important: All Souls has made significant strides in becoming more energy efficient and greener in how we do day-to-day business.  Currently, our environmental group, All Souls Are Green, does not have someone who can focus on earning All Souls designation as an Energy Star Congregation ( www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?c=sb_success.congregations) .  Given the progress we have made in the past few years and the positive visibility that designation as an Energy Star Congregation would have for All Souls, there is considerable value in pursuing this designation.  We have good contacts in EPA--one of our members works for EPA and we know an individual in EPA who works in the office that designates Energy Star Congregations.

Estimated time commitment: 100 hours whenever convenient for the volunteer.  Participation in All Souls Are Green committee meetings and other activities are strictly optional.

Volunteering: Contact one of the Wardens or any Vestry Member if you are willing to help.

Wanted
: Someone to develop a building use policy for non-All Souls groups which use our property.

Why this is important: While All Souls currently has a building use policy, it is out of date and not as comprehensive as it should be.  We want people to use our facility, but we need to make sure that people who use our facility understand their responsibilities.  We hope to expand the degree to which external groups use our building--that's part of being a parish church in our community and is a source of revenue.  There are good examples of building use policies on line.

Estimated time commitment: 10 hours whenever convenient for the volunteer.

Volunteering: Contact one of the Wardens or any Vestry Member if you are willing to help.
