Children's Sunday School

This important ministry has a new beginning and vision. Believing that a child possesses a full spiritual life with unique needs and outlook, our All Souls Sunday School Committee has developed a new program that began in September. Sunday School begins at 10:55 a.m. and takes place during the first half of our second Sunday Mass. While parents and adults celebrate the Service of the Word upstairs, the children are reading and learning the same scriptures downstairs with activities and formats appropriate to their ages. They rejoin parents and congregation around 11:40 for the Service of the Table (Holy Communion). Older children serving as acolytes are excused from attendance on the Sundays they are scheduled to serve. Infant day care remains available throughout the morning hours.

Our Sunday School is small, currently we have two classes.  The first class is Pre-kindergarten through 2nd/3rd grade.  The second class is 4th grade through 6th grade.  Our teachers presently use an adaptation of the Anglican version of the David C. Cook Curriculum.

Those interested in volunteering as teachers or interested in the curriculum offered should contact Marcia Anderson or the Parish Office.

Childcare is also offered from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children three months to eight years. Volunteers and donations of games and toys are always needed.
