Holiday packages for St. Mary's Court

The Sunday School brings donations of simple personal health care articles and assembles them for some of our friends who live at St. Mary's Court, a retirement facility in the Foggy Bottom section of Washington.  Some years, the children also visit St. Mary's Court and, deliver presents and sing Christmas carols.

Children's toys for St. John Eye Hospital in Jerusalem

For several years at Christmas, the children and families of All souls bring toys to church which are sent to children at the St. John's Eye Hospital  This hospital was founded
by the Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, which is over a thousand years old.  The majority of their patients come from the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, where access to specialist healthcare is limited.  Most cannot move freely to see family or friends and nearly half live below the poverty line.

Diocese of Washington's Children to Children Campaign

In Advent 2007 the Sunday School led the parish in participating in the Diocese of Washington’s Children to Children Program.   Contributions helped support the work of Beauty Bala, an everyday hero who provides care and support to children and people living with HIV/AIDS in Siyaphila township in South Africa.  Beauty lovingly cares for over 60 young children and babies, many of whom have HIV.

The Heifer Project

The Sunday School children learn about the Heifer Project's efforts to provide animals and support to poor families around the world and the children of All Souls then lead the parish in raising money for this effort.
