August 27, 2017: My Last Sunday at All Souls
For more than five years, it has been my great joy to serve you as the Director of Music at All Souls. Together we’ve celebrated meaningful liturgies, created a summer music festival, won a choir residency at Exeter and Chester cathedrals, and seen our choir grow substantially—both in size and ability. I am very proud of what we have built together and the community we all share. All Souls truly lives into the mandate of the gospel—love one another and share that love with the world.

All Souls has also provided fertile ground for me to thrive.

On this, my final Sunday as your Director of Music, I am filled with gratitude.  All Souls is a family to me, and while excited about new possibilities, I am very sad that those come at the price of saying farewell to you. My tenure at All Souls has been, and will continue to be, a highlight of my life. Please hold me in your prayers, as I will certainly hold you all.

Grace, Peace, and Love,
Ben Hutchens
