Everyday
We use Rite I from the Book of Common Prayer for all of our celebrations of the Holy Eucharist. Many of us find that the traditional language keeps us rooted in a complicated and sometimes overwhelming world. Though our worship is traditional, our parish welcomes and reflects the diversity and difference of life in the Twenty-first Century.
At the Sunday 8:30 a.m. Mass
There are prayers, readings from scripture, a sermon, and the Holy Communion. There is no music and a sense of quiet pervades the church. Sometimes the smell of coffee and breakfast (being cooked downstairs in the Undercroft) can be detected.
Between the Masses
Breakfast is served downstairs in the Undercroft for all and any who might like to join us. You are welcome to contribute a few dollars to help defray the cost of the meal.
At 10:00 a.m.
Most Sundays we offer an Adult Forum. This is an opportunity to explore one's faith, to hear about recent mission trips, to learn about connections between faith and culture, science and history.
At the Sunday 11:00 a.m. Mass
There are prayers, hymns and anthems by the choir, readings from scripture, a sermon, and the Holy Communion. The service is filled with a sense of joy, beauty and reverence for God and God's creation. The children of the parish usually join us at the Offertory and help bring forward the wine and bread that will be consecrated during the Mass. The children remain for Communion.
After Mass
We share in fellowship in the Undercroft with a Coffee Hour. This is a great opportunity to connect with old friends and meet new ones, a chance to register for upcoming events, to sign up to be a part of a Foyer Dinner Group and to learn about new ways of becoming involved at All Souls and beyond.
